Types of Food Grade Gases

Oxygen

To oxidize & promote the growth of yeast and aerobic bacteria. Also enhances combustion in ovens/burners for baking.

Nitrogen

To preserve freshness, extend the shelf life, and prevent oxidation and rancidity in oils and fats to maintain product quality.

Hydrogen

Act as a reducing agent to the control of color and texture. Also used in hydrogenation processes for the production of fats and oils.

Carbon Dioxide
